You worry too much. If we ever run out of a certain type of tubes, it will be because they are not in high demand. There are billions of unused NOS tubes types that no wants, now, because there is little equipment that uses them. Designers will change this. Sweep tubes are a good example. Moreover, as one person already pointed out newly manufactured tubes are often better than the NOS. While it's possible that a few of today's "select" tubes might become very rare and expensive in 10 years, these tubes will fall out of favour with designers and consumers and new ones replace them or they will be manfactured as the price goes up and companies can earn a profit from them.Another likely scenario is that a new audio technology will emerge making everything else obsolete.
