The power is not a big deal unless you need all of it..Im sure you can bias your tubes accordingly and get pretty close to max power with most of the kt88s made now..If the power becomes a real big issue,you may consider the KT90s which do push a little extra power.Now the JJ kt88 are very strong and produces lots of bass and power in a pair.They have a little different sonic characteristics in the midrange which seems a little more relaxed if you like a brighter midrange. I really like the KT88sc and Penta labs obviously knows they have an excellent product because they get top dollar now for a matched quad.Even the 3 hole shuguang kt88s and the kt100s are very good and close in sound to the kt88sc solid plates.
