Some more information -According to Stereophile the plate voltage is 750V and the screen is 350V (does the screen have an impact here on biasing?).
Am I right in thining that for Class AB then for the SED KT88s which have a maximum plate dissipation of 42W then a 70% bias setting would be: 0.7 * 42/750 = 39mA.
Whereas with older 6550 with a maximum plate dissipation of (say) 35W then it should be biased at 32mA.
Am I going in the right direction here? :)
