As someone who(I think) shares tastes with both of you, I think its time to take a deep breath.
Much of the musics you both like, to me, come from quitetraditional roots.
Those New Yorkers to my ears nearly all owe a debt to the Brill Building writers, and aimed for the same "symphonies for the kids" as Phil Spector, albeit in a rougher/tougher leather jacket clad manner.
But when it comes down to it, its just music...
We here have more in common than we have in difference.
