I've seen it & I think it's a terrible quote, a foolish quote, one that makes Earle look like an idiot. I only have a couple of TVZ albums, but as much as I like them & admire his work, Earle was just talking out of his butt. I don't have a problem with a little hyperbole to bring attention to underappreciated artists, but this is a bit much.Oh, and if I may say so, yr remark about Johnny Thunders being a 'nothing' is merely ignorant. Although I wouldn't go so far as to adopt him as an alter-ego, if you're going to put the guy down for the reasons you stated, then I'll have to ask exactly which recordings it is you're judging him on, if you ever saw him live, and if you have the first clue about his role in rock music in the 70s & 80s.
