Big Star was talented but, like the groups I mentioned, not quite enough to hit that wider market--- to break out.
The problem is that many people think they're the clever ones and know something only a couple others do. Well, that OCCASIONALLY is the case but very seldom when we're talking about major talent.
I think you misread my "influence" comment: I meant bands that had a similar amount of influence on others.
