The Zombies are an example of a high quality band that did not achieve as much as they could have. They released some good singles and a great album. But they also basically broke up before the album was released, and despite the quality of the album and any acclaim it recieved later, were finished as a group.The history of rock and roll is littered with bands that don't make it. It's a hard life style to sustain and talent is no guarantee of popularity. Popularity is also not a guarantee of talent, either.
