Thank you for a very informative response. Obviously, the problem is much more complicated than I anticipated.
Another alternative that I had considered. The SCA 35s have a speaker output for a combined center channel. When not in use it is shorted at the output terminals. I have used it for headphone listening in the past. Could it accomplish my obective for mono output from the stereo channels? I believe you still have to have a load on one set of speaker outputs to make this effective. I would assume it will provide twice the power of one channel.
As of now, I only am using one channel in each amp with 2 RCAs in each. There are no tubes in the other channel. I believe the improved bass response in this setup is due to having dedicated power supplies for each channel.
Would appreciate any thoougts you may have. Thanks again.
