Hi Charlie:the W5's used Peerless outputs... and short of pulling the blueprints out of the archives to double (or triple) check myself... I am pretty much near certain that the nominal impedance was 10K plate to plate.
I don't suspect you'd find huge differences btwn 8 and 10 K for these tubes... using a good quality output trans is probably of greater import than whether it is 8K or 10K.
