I have a spare pair of 8K to 8 and 4 ohm OPT's that was i planning to use for an EL84 amp. They have UL taps at 43%But I am thinking otherwise now. How about using 6L6GC instead of EL84. What should be the operating point for 8K landline? Is it a good idea?
I just love the 6L6. I am using the olde 6L6-g in an SE amp built to take EL34 and like the former better.
Thanks in advance.
