Hi mach1,Thats fine, but it is positive that people are actually concious of where they are making layout compromises that effect sound negatively, in favor of looks .
You "NAILED" the layout problems mach1 - that others perhaps were oblivious to - and I appreciated you doing that on-Forum.
Some few will actually THINK about your points mach1, and err - hopefully to the side of better sound, ........ maybe in their very next DIY project.
'Reminds me of what the good Medical Doctor said about his ( early model ) Jaguar purchase, " Never again will I be fooled - by such a pretty body ".
