Good question.On one of the HOT sides of the incoming AC feed. As a minimum measure, I like to do it this way, a fuse first ( slow blow ), a thermistor next, and then an On-Off switch. That way, the AC switch has some soft-start protection also, and will not get as much abuse...longer reliability ensues. I overrate the switch by always making it a double pole double throw - to have redundant contacts, 15 A minuimum, and I really do much prefer 20 A. rated switches.
