Re: does anyone have a simple "power-on soft start" schematics?

For high voltage supplies an indirected heated rectifier tube works well and needs only a filament supply. It has limitations in terms of how large a capacitor you can connect to it directly but that can be worked around. Otherwise a surge current limiter works great.
