You win some, you lose some. I was told by the seller that it's a 2 track stereo. I would like to get some 7" reels for it. I guess reel to reel tape can only be bought online these days. Any recommendations?
So $200 was way too much to pay for this dinosaur. I thought even if the tape drive wasn't working I could use the preamps in it. Being 40 years old it has most likely has some serious phizz or noise and needs some serious maintenance. Still I will give it a try. It would probably cost me another $200 to get the caps replaced, etc. by a tech if I could find one locally. Oh well, we'll see how it works before I invest anymore money.
