While I loved the Nak machines and even used them with a parallel direct feed on recording sessions (for general playback in order not to excessively wind and rewind the 30 I.P.S. master), they will NOT make a good tape for someone else to play on their machine, because of the NAK eq.So while a NAK would make a superior record playback SYSTEM, I'd probably use a good Luxman or other machine for recordings to be given to non-Nak users.
In fact I did. I had a bank of 50 machines for real time duplication with my location recording company. Had Naks at first before I realized the problem.
This was back in the era of the Dragon, ZX-9. LX-5, etc.
