American Theater Systems Shady?

Is American Theater Systems a legitamate company or a scam? I was interested in a Denon Dv-9600.

They told me they were authorized dealers. I checked Denon's website they are NOT authorized.

Then I was told they would have it drop shipped from an authorized dealer I belive it was "The Record Shop".

I called Denon and they said the warranty would still not be valid if the purchase is made through American.

Whats the story?
