I suspect I shouldn't be trying to learn from this forum, because the technical discussion is beyond me, but help me if you can. I am experiencing (mild) what I take to be 60 cycle hum from my speakers, which is independent of the volume control (doesn't increase even if I crank it wide open). I'm running 2 Classe' model 10's in monoblock. In addition, there is (also very mild) hum from the Theta Pro Basic dac. The entire system is connected to an Audio Power Power wedge, on a dedicated 15 amp circuit. In total silence, I can hear hum from the listening position, but when music is playing I suspect the effect is to mask extremely low level detail. I'd like to get that detail. Granite Audio makes something called 'Ground Zero' which it calls a 'novice friendly hum elimination device.' It's pricey. Anyone have any experience with this? Recommendation? Other ideas?
