Magnetic field may well be part of the issue, however, from my observations, it appears to be more of an issue of high input impedance inputs acting as a receiving antenna for unwanted interference.(Evidence appears to indicate capacitive coupling) Using point to point wiring with a shielded coax reduced radiated coupling to the input rather substantially. This also appears to beg the question: Is it stereo separation?, or is it noise immunity?
