This is a classic straw man.History is just what it is-the telling of past events. It is by definition not scientifically verifiable fact. It is ultimately an individual or groups recollection or interpretation of an event and nothing more.
Darwin's theory is niether scientific fact nor history. No one has ever observed his postualted mechanisms in action and as such, his ideas cannot stand as either an observed past event or a current scientifically verified fact. This means acceptance of his theory relies on blind faith. Faith that an unoberved (and unobservable) mechanism is responsible for bio-diversity and the very origin of life itself. How is this different, espistomologically, than any other creation myth?
Thanks,
Rob
