Well, they provide a fair amount of humor, too, so they're nice to have around.Since you are *Analog* Scott, you'll appreciate this little tidbit. I read in The Audio Critic (my new main source for hilarity) that "LP's simply wear out", like amps and tubes. I had to wonder how Tom Nousaine came to that conclusion. Even if he's 100 years old, vinyl is only about 60 and the only time they "wear out" is when played on Sears Close-N-Play with a ceramic cartridge. Now that I think about it, that's probably what Tom used since he can't hear the differences in anything. Or maybe he just meant that an LP wears out like water wears away a stone. Gotta love those theorists.
