Re: For The Record....

>He only has to go back to his school books from his early teens. Everyone is taught the scientific method and the basis of science.<

Which as I recall from when I was in my early teens 100 or so years ago is in part "test the hypothesis". This he has done - and posted here. He hears differences and has proven it via testing.

>Unsubstantiated extraordinary claims will be dismissed by all normal rational people. The only ones likely to be attracted are those with a need to believe.<

Or those with a similar experience. I can honestly say that I know not a soul, nor have I encountered one via the internet that has a "need to believe". Most of us would prefer not to believe, I think.

>It would require the subjectivist to trust scientifically established information without understanding why it is valid.<

I trust what has been established. I've also had the experience that what has been established is not complete, as correct as it may be for what is there.

>Most disagreements exist because the two sides possess different sets of information.<

Indeed. One side has scientific principles and the other has listening experience. Obviously, they are different in many personal cases.

>In your case you lack information about science and how a scientist reasons but a scientists probably does not lack the information you use to come to your judgements. Which one is likely to be right concerning information in the scientific domain?<

I don't know. I would expect them to want to test the judgments to see if they are accurate. Otherwise, they are coming to a conclusion based on theory rather than (necessarily) reality.
