If you send a signal thru a class a circuit (signal processor #1),
then send it to another class a circuit (signal processor #2),
then send this to another class a circuit (signal processor #3),
then convert this to a CD which if anything should "taint" the music
since it's all ones and zeros not analog... then when you play
back the music, look at all the drama you have to do to convert
that signal back to analog, then send this to another signal processor
using class a, then sending this signal to an amplifier with another
class a circuit. I fail to see where the word "minimalist signal path"
comes into play? The only thing pure is a live performance using
no amplification, whether that signal goes thru 10 stages of class a
or 10 stage of op-amps makes no difference, it's all tainted.

People are brainwashed into thinking class a is the savior of audio,
this is something that gives the marketing departments an edge to
sell the products. I don't think you need extra stuff in the signal
path also if you can find a simple circuit design, but I can
tell you that you won't hear a difference if amplifier #1 has
one op-amp pre-amp and amplifier #2 which is the same design
as amplifier #1 implemented a class a pre-amp.

minimalist signal path - give marketing an edge to sell products
that make these claims.

minimalist signal path - if you can make the circuit simpler, do it,
it saves money on parts and printed circuit board real estate.

minimalist signal path - Does it sound better ? there is no proof,
it's purely 100% subjective. Some of the best car audio gear
and installations that beat high end audiophile systems are heavily
into multiple amplifiers, signal processors, etc., all tainted with with op-amps.. How come ? I have yet to hear a audiophile home
audio system that can beat a car audio system. What I mean by
that is. I don't mean that car audio is better, I mean that if
there is a sonic difference that is 100% obvious, the car audio
engineers would be converting all their gear to non op-amp designs,
but they don't because it's not audible, it's just a myth that started
out in the audiophile community so they can have an edge marketingwise.
