I'm looking for a DAT machine to record a friends jazz group at a local jazz club here in Spokane, Washington. My brother has a Panasonic SV-3800 that he has been tinkering with, and from what he says, it is a fairly decent performer. I can purchase a Panasonic SV-3700 for a little less dough. (But I don't want to end up with something that I won't be happy with).Give me your thoughts. I'm very new to this media. (I just don't want to move a Scully 280 in a studio console every time that I want to record my friends, so the Dat looks like a positive move). Any help will be appreciated.
