What is the reason for having your DSP processor in the path? Do you need it?
You can run Audirvana with Qobuz and from what I've read it might sound better and offer more flexibility with remote control. Audirvana also has a DSP toolkit and plug-ins. You can simply run the USB output from your Mac to the E30 DAC or other USB DAC.
Or you can download the Qobuz player for your Mac. Same signal path going from USB on the Mac to the USB on the DAC.
"..does the digital output from the Audirvana [ ] "act" as a regular 44k / 16 bit digital wave file?"
Yes. Whatever source Audirvana is playing gets passed through in the same format. Could be 44k/16 bit if it's CD Quality or it could be higher resolution 96K/24 bit or 192/24bit. You can also upsample 44K/16 in Audirvana to those higher resolution if you like.
Do you NEED to run SPDIF for some reason? If you do you'll need a way to convert USB on your Mac to SPDIF. Kind of old school if you ask me but doable. That's why I asked about your DSP processor and SPDIF.
