Digital output from a streamer

I am going to confess my ignorance ahead of time.

So, my current system takes a digital out from my CD player (SPDIF coax) and sends it to a DSP processor with a digital input and output. This output can then go to a DAC (such as a Toping E30, etc) which will accept a SPDIF signal. All this is done at 44k sampling and 16 bits.

So far so good, since this is all pretty typical.
Now I want to get into the world of online music, Qobuz to be specific.

Question: If I want to have Qobuz (or tidal, etc) on my computer (MAC) and send the output via a USB/DAC (spdif) and maybe use Audirvana as an interface, can I still lead that SPDIF output to my signal processor. IOW, does the digital output from the Audirvana (or from Wiim Pro plus, etc) "act" as a regular 44k / 16 bit digital wave file.

I'm asking since the screen shots for Wiim and Audirvana make it appear that only some DACS or devices will recognize the digital data stream from the streamer. IOW, is the streamer putting some sort of header on the digital waveform

Thanks in advance
