Re: ARC & XLO compatibilty?

Dear Vince,
Besides preamp and amp, cables must match the overall system, which includes the characteristics of your listening room. It is difficult for us to imagine the result without auditioning your system. Notice that tonal balance is the first to consider when matching cables with the whole system. Besides, personal preference always exists, to me, XLO sounds clean, tight and accurate, but I would like soft, luxurious, natural and relaxing chamber music, so I didn't choose XLO.
As for M60, if your speaker mates well with OTL (ie with relatively stable impedance), there's is no doubt at all that Atmasphere beats ARC in every aspect. It sounds much more natural, it possesses the unlimited speed to pick up every minute changes of emotion, it is so emotional and life-like. Once you join our path, you will never go back to amps with output transformer.
When I thanked Ralph via email, I told him that him amps should be used to teach young musicians, there is no way one can appreciate the greatness of Milstein, Heifetz and Serkin without Atmasphere. (Once I felt so sorry that I was too young to attend their live concerts, now no more regrets!)
Hope you will join us.
