I don't know if my experience is at all relevant; I use SoundLab U2 electrostatics driven by an Atma-sphere amp, but not the M60. I recently compared the top-line latest greatest XLO spkr wire to my Goertz silver. According to the dealer from whom I borrowed the XLO, it was thoroughly broken in. This was a 5 minute experiment, because the Goertz was so obviously and immediately superior to the XLO. The bass response was notably diminished with the XLO vs the Goertz. Mids and lower treble were more life-like with the Goertz, etc. There are theoretical reasons why the Goertz wire might be superior to the XLO, where Atma amps are concerned, so "dropping in" the M60 may not be quite enough to give you what you want, if you retain the XLO spkr wire. The good news is that the Goertz wire is a relative bargain. (This not meant to disparage XLO wires. It's a matter of synergy between elements in a system.)
