Hi. Deep and strong low end, in the 30hz range and below require 2 things from my experience. First, large speakers to move alot of air, and second lots of clean power with big headroom. My listening room is 18x24. I have a marantz 33 pre amp, 2 ( yes 2 ) BGW 750's, a sony CD player model NS76H, and two 1970 EV Patrician 800's. The speakers are about three inches from the corner walls that are solid block. If there was ever any question to the rear horn type speakers getting down to 30hz and less with real authority, mine have no issues doing so, as well as damaging the house at the same time. I would never use all the power the BGW's put out, but untill you get them moving they dont come to life. I hear alot about the new speakers and how good they sound, and I am sure they do. In the 5,000 to 25,000 dollar range they should, and better. What I dont buy is that they can produce low end like my old timers can. Thanks
