That wide ranges cant produce bass and clean midrange ever hear a fostex f200a in big TL? As I type I listen to a fostex fe206esr BLH thats strong to 40hz midranges is wonderful so again I disagree. If you dont like the bass horns you have heard nothing wrong with that so I agree you didnt like what you heard. As far as hedlund as best disagree heard so many designs I feel to be better but agree that you think they are and realy thats all that maters. If I perfered hedlunds I would still have a pair tried a few drivers in mine best was dx4, 2nd fe208esig with t500a hedlund design is not without its charms. Bass horns not producing deep bass thats sure not my findings and leads me to believe you havent heard any good ones;) so again disagree. I also disagree with the midrange needing delay, careful physical placement can take care of most problems other ways to address if this is a bother, for me hasent.Distortion in horn bass, since drivers are hardly moving bet distortion is very low but have not compared measurments to servo bass or I -OB designs which I owned, have a fostex 31in woofer on large OB, bass is great but horns are stronger better room loading. I also have a aura 18in sub system I just constructed. I do have a bit of experance with horns front back etc.As well as AS BR TL OB etc. so just relating my experance as you did yours. Audios a wonderful hobbie always someone who disagrees with you;)
