You'll see lots and lots (and lots) of very small, lightweight MP3, Ipod, etc. players. Not very many portable cd players around anymore. I may be wrong empirically in terms of sales but I would be willing to bet my nano that sales of portable cd players is way down and substituted with those of mp3-type players.Like it or not, sacd is a niche market and a portable device such as you describe is pretty darn unlikely unless by some dedicated small-producer of hifi.
My guess is that you'll see very few portable cd players at all within the next 2-3 years -- just as you see very few portable cassette players. I'm not saying that they'll disappear, but they are relegated to a rather small niche in the market.
