New DVD-Audio music releases and talk about the latest players.

Re: Another one new to DVD-Audio

". . . part of the reason I sort of gave up on SACD was the lack of software. I know DVD-A suffers from the same issue."

True, it is the same issue, but if you are into rock, it's the same issue to a MUCH greater degree. There's a lot more rock on SACD than DVD-A.

At least SACD, and I'm no format cheerleader, can boost of The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Moody Blues, The Police, and Genesis. Numerous SACDS were released in these cases; I'm not talking about or listing single SACD releases (e.g., Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon).

And what about DVD-A and rock? Well, we do have the Doors' Perception Box Set in DVD-A. Except for some singles, that is about it if you are interested in rock.

I hope you find lots of jazz and blues titles in DVD-A, but I'm afraid you will be disappointed with rock.
