Fine advice from Chuck Y. I'd add that you'll need to remove the tube "protectors" before you get to the tubes. They need to be gently pushed down and twisted either clockwise or counterclockwise (good thing there's no third option, huh?) and lifted off. I'd recommend some Herbie's tube dampners on the tubes at this point, or other appropriate tube dampners. I did not replace the tube protectors on my Jolida, otherwise I don't believe the dampners/protectors will work together - not enough room. Relax, have fun with the process and ease into tubeland. Great place to be.Make sure the unit has proper isolation, and as you become more comfortable/familiar with your new player you may want to investigate a power cord up-grade and dampning of the inner chasis. These tweaks/upgrades are covered in the digital forum (search the archives...) and for me all have made noticible improvements. Enjoy your Jolida, it's a mighty fine player!
