GE 6BQ5 grey oval plate were serious upgrades in all my 6BQ5/EL84 amps. All others agree who upgraded, most pay little attention to my raves on AA about these tubes.12AT7 has always bothered me as a premium audio tube. Rewire for a Telefunken ECC85 or Siemens 6922 goldpin from early 1960s? Perhaps Brimar made a high quality 12AT7.
