Any live rock recording from that era is going to be a little raw. But compared only to each other, I'd say the 3-CD Fillmore West compilation meets your requirements. Ladies and Gentlemen has better sound, especially Jerry's guitar, which is nice and fat, and the drums, which have good resonance. The performance isn't one of my favorites, though... nowhere near the intensity of DP8 or DP22. And, of course, nothing can surpass the remastered Live Dead for sound quality and performance. Two From the Vault is an incredible restoration job, and sounds great for what it is, but don't expect to use any of these to show off your rig. There are a couple of DPs... Jersey City, 1972 and Boston, 1974, that are amazingly crisp--the Boston captures Phil Lesh's bass beautifully--but this is outside your time requirement. Too many cowboy songs.
