I'm hoping that the Grateful Dead completists here can shed some light on the sound quality of the live shows available either as Dick's Picks or regular label releases (I'm using dial-up so downloads aren't a viable option). I tend to favor the 1968 through 1970 band although 1971 through 1978 is still of interest. Which of the live recordings from this decade have both the band firing on all cylinders AND good-to-excellent sound quality? Also which recordings with more marginal recording quality shouldn't be missed?
I did check the archives but couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for.
