Not a problem. What I meant by wondering what you thought 'now,' was in reference to, after my post specifying where I remembered that remark from, with the details from the book. And I wasn't suggesting that you were calling me ignorant. It was someone else, who seems to think that this is what I'm displaying when I post things he doesn't agree with. Actually, it's particularly nasty up there. Oh, well. Now, I'll probably be ignored, since he's 'sick of my BS,' which is fine, too. It's late, so I can't tackle that, or much of the rest of yr post, all that much at the moment, though I will try to get to it tomorrow. In the meantime, I thought you would find this amusing: the post where the biggest troll in this thread chose to apply his legendary analytical skills to A Love Supreme. Funny, for a guy who crows about standards, and how his are seemingly higher than anyone else's, he sure doesn't give a damn about how low they happen to be when it comes to knowing how NOT to analyze a particular type of piece of music. When I first read this I actually couldn't believe that someone went to the trouble of writing it. Must've been between visits to the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art. A clue as to why few bother with him presents itself pretty quickly here, I think.
