Point understood, but not entirely true- remember the Johnny Griffin- Hank Mobley- Coltrane blowing session on BN, and, more famously, Sonny Rollins and Trane going at it on "Tenor Madness", endlessly. Hard to believe it only happened these times, in the studio.Opinions will forever vary on who "cut" who on these records and others, but it all makes for fascinating and fun listening (and discussion). BTW Mobley may surprise you on that Blue Note date if you are one of those who underestimates him...
