Of course it does but there's no need to allocate or lock-down more than you need.

Nor do I need it. I run a 4-CPU 6GB Win10 virtual machine yet it's using barely over 2GB (33% of the 6GB). Not sure why your Win10 VM environment is that inefficient that it requires the full 8GB (100% of 8GB).
