Have you seen the very latest Mac Mini? Someone posted about it here. It's even more powerful (M4), smaller, AND cheaper. Cheaper in that 16GB of RAM is now standard (vs 8GB). Still $599 retail but sale prices are around $550 and I'm sure it will drop to a constant on-sale price of $499 at some point like the previous gen did.
