Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

I'm not an alarmist but a little more cautious these days. You can Google "FCC bans Huawei" and "Supermicro spy chip".

Supermicro is a US company that supplies computer motherboards for brands like Dell, HP, and others. A large portion of Supermicro motherboards are made in China by contract manufacturers. The story goes that 'spy chips' were installed on several Supermicro motherboards allowing unauthorized network access.

We had to assure our IC agency customers that none of our motherboards came from Supermicro. We had to further prove to them that we had full control throughout the "chain of custody" from chips to firmware to manufacturing facilities to warehousing to shipping, etc. They visited our facilities in various locations over a 6 month period and interviewed our engineers and supply chain folks.
