I'm not as optimistic. My kids are downloading music all the time, and some of their friends are spending big bucks on iTunes downloads. All they've bought though are files on a hard drive, and while they can be transferred, the transfers are limited, at least according to the Apple agreement and protection. Will it be possible to play a 30 year old downloaded song on the new hardware/software in 2037? I'll see you on the dark side of the moon, too. (My DSOTM LP still plays, but the DVD-A sounds better.)
