All is not lost. Infact, I have lyrics automatically pop up and cover art, etc. If I wanted to, I could easily take a pict of the liner notes, and include that for viewing, or band photos or the chich I was dating at the time I bought the album....I find that I am more in touch with my music because I know the name of the song since it is always included when I play it. I used to only know the song as "Song 2 on Syncronicity" but now it shows the name.
While you could do all this electronically, and fairly easily with the right program, you could always just put the liner notes in a cd wallet and have that to look at.
When the RIAA figures out it is loosing money and that it must change, it will start including the liner notes with song downloads. It really can be managed electronically.
Below is a pict of the program I have been using of late. YOu will see tab for artist and lyrics in the middle underneath PJ harvey. The ARTIS tab is actually for artist photos, you just drag and drop and it will show whateve photo you put in their. WHen you click on it, it will display the photo on most of the screen.
