With PC audio having the capability to sound better, it is just a matter of time before the cd is gone as the main musical vehicle.With internet connections getting faster, it is only a matter of time before you can download what you want in uncompressed form and still get the quality but none of the hassle of the CD.
I recently bought 3 cds ( it has been at least 2 years since I bought a cd), and if I could have downloaded them, I would have.
