Re: Single Ended KT88

Unless you use fixed bias, or a comination bias scheme, the cathode resistor for a KT88 is going to be large wattage. Most designers will derate the resistor by a factor of five or more, so if there is 4 or 5 watts of actual dissipaition, a 20-25 watt part would be used. A chassis mounted power resistor is quite compact.
