That's a great question. Should be easy enough to find out. I came up with the thought of trying to power each of the filaments with a separate filament supplies connected to a single cathode resistor while trying to get enough current to run both sides in parallel with a single 5 volt supply. Couldn’t find enough current with the transformer I had at that time.It’s a question I hope to answer as I have a number tubes to play with and a couple of HUGE torroids to generate about any voltage and/or current I need.

Enjoyed hanging with you guys at RMAF. My next project is putting my SUT inside cardboard toilet paper roll tubes and covering them with Kurt’s mu metal foil. ;-)
