J.C. published a screen-drive amp in an ish of SP as well, with PP pentodes, no less.As Par sez, I would think that driving both G1 (which has, in most tubes to hold a quiescent voltage somewhat below the cathode), and G2 (which would have to be substantially above the cathode) could be a rather thorny technical problem.
Fun to noodle about on the lists, though, eh?
