Hi ,
If you are trying to avoid hum then do as I suggested before ; make a 'centre tap' with a pair of resistors across the heaters and float each heater +20V in relation to it's cathode . Also avoid hum loops by attending to the layout . Maybe even distance the power transformers well away from the valves or make the power supply outboard . You could even fit screening cans to the valves . Then if you must , after that , implement DC heaters ;) It may be an idea to incorporate a muting circuit if you are mixing valve crossovers with SS amps , you may also find that your 12AX7 is not up to snuff driving SS :(cheers
