Hi, The Riddler:Whatever machine you decide to use for your tape-to-cdr transfer, try to obtain a deck which might possibly feature pitch control. This could come in handy when discovering any obvious speed problems from one tape to another, especially if music is involved.
Pitch problems are even more apparent when it comes to making transfers of cassette tapes to any other media these days, since realistically speaking, no two cassette decks will run EXACTLY on-speed.
Noise reduction hardware or software will also be useful to you.
I own Burwen units for this purpose.
