Hi, Rick.I'd say to try them both & go with the one that sounds best on your deck. I've had good luck with Maxell, Sony, TDK, Fuji, & other tapes.
Sound quality will depend on which tape your particular deck was calibrated to at the factory.
If you have a fine bias control you should be able to get excellent results with either.
