I humbly suggest you read the original post more carefully. We're talking primarily about playback of existing recordings, not making new ones.BTW, even though I'm also a reel-to-reel enthusiast, I consider it to be just as obsolete a recording medium as cassette. I do all my recording through a Mark of the Unicorn (MOTU) 896 FireWire audio interface at a sampling rate of 96K and a resolution of 32 bits.
